SILA Weight Control

Obesity leads to a number of diseases including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and stroke.  Diets do not work in the long run because they are not sustainable.  In fact, some diets are unhealthy.  A growing body of research indicates that the inclusion of certain foods in a well balanced diet contributes to successful weight control.  One of these foods is white beans (phaseolus vulgaris).  Beans are full of fiber (a healthy ingredient known to contribute to weight control) and substances that inhibit the absorption of carbohydrates and diminish appetite.  Other ingredients in SILA Weight Control (red pepper and tea) contribute by thermogenesis which burn calories and the inhibition of lipogenesis (formation of fat cells).
